Electricity, Natural Gas, and REC Management/Procurement
Across the globe utilities and energy suppliers are under significant pressure as renewable energy markets evolve, regulatory environments become more complex and end-users needs adapt to their own set of drivers.. Meanwhile, end-users are continually faced with the complexities of managing their energy supply and associated costs in an ever increasing competitive environment. Engenuus Energy has more than 30 years of experience in managing both the supply side and demand side aspects of energy use. Our clients include universities, large commercial and industrial companies and government entities.

Looking forward, complexity will only intensify as the global effort to draw energy from solar, wind, nuclear, hydrogen, and other sources of sustainable energy to mitigate the impact from climate change. This challenge requires greater innovation, improving the social compact with communities, and delivering on the needs of a diverse set of stakeholders.

It’s a tough market out there, identifying the ideal energy procurement strategy is complex and unique to your business goals and objectives. Engenuus Energy has the experience and resources to develop procurement strategies, identify reliable and cost-efficient suppliers, negotiate the price and structure that facilitates your needs and, if needed, to broker the forward transactions to enable those strategies.

Regulatory & Utility Advisory Support
With the increase in siting and constructing renewable energy generation, Engenuus Energy is increasingly called upon to assist with interconnecting these generators with their respective utility and the system operator. Along with the need for interconnection, their is also often a need to identify an off-taker, negotiate favorable Power Purchase Agreements and to qualify and enroll in favorable technology specific tariffs (e.g., the Biomass Market Adjusting Tariff, or BioMAT in California). Engenuus Energy successfully piloted the first waste-to-energy project in California’s BioMAT program (reference Zero Waste Energy Development Company in San Jose, CA), and is working with several BioMAT participants to maintain their compliance and navigate the ever changing programmatic requirements.

Many of our clients also need assistance in rate selection, tariff compliance or general engagement with utilities and regulatory agencies. Engenuus Energy is often called a ‘hired gun’, and will always work to ensure the our clients understand the threats and opportunities occuring now, and in the future, while providing reliable and actionable advice.
